Kevin Bell
Kevin manages the consultancy, surveyance and maintenance aspects of the business, overseeing all things arboricultural. He has 20 years experience in the arboricultural sector, having worked extensively within the UK, and having also practised internationally - mainly within New Zealand.
After beginning his career as a utility tree surgeon, he quickly realised that trees were a passion of his that extended beyond being ‘just a job’. In 2005, he travelled abroad and built on his experience in Auckland, maintaining municipal trees in an environment that was radically different to that of the UK. Eventually returning home to a wet Welsh winter, he made the decision to start a business that would allow him to use his skills and knowledge sympathetically and expand his practice. He began to work with residential clients, troubleshooting arboricultural problems and undertaking small and large scale maintenance works.
Over the course of his career, he has completed multiple professional NPTC training courses, underpinning his knowledge in utility, municipal and residential arboriculture. He has also graduated successfully from undertaking higher level study with TreeLife, one of the foremost specialist arboricultural educational institutions in the UK, and will be undertaking additional study with Myerscough College to achieve his BSc next year. He now predominantly works in consultancy and surveyance, working for clients from a range of industries from large-scale utilities such as National Grid, to local businesses, landowners and residents.
Kevin has undertaken further study in QTRA risk assessment and management, management and evaluation of subsidence, and professional tree inspection with LANTRA training specialists.
He believes in an honest, practical approach to his work. When he's not working, you can find him brewing his own beer or in his vegetable garden.
