Project: Assessment of multiple trees on site and development of a tree report and management plan

Location: Suburban rental development on the outskirts of Hereford City.

The client in this case was the landlord of this property, who contacted us as he was aware that a number of the trees on this property were under TPO (Tree Preservation Order). He wanted to have a site assessment to ensure the safety of his property and to demonstrate to Herefordshire Council that he was actively involved with the care and preservation of his trees. He was also seeking the development of a management plan to enable him to plan and organise his tree maintenance on an ongoing basis and demonstrate responsible property management for insurance purposes. 

We had an initial conversation with the client to discuss his individual needs and arranged for a site visit to be undertaken. The trees on the property were inspected, and we observed that they were all mature and generally in good condition, with the exception of one that required some maintenance works. A tree report was completed with a management plan agreed with the client. A risk assessment was included as part of this service, enabling the client to see and understand the risk profile of the trees on his property.
